About the Exhibit

Opening Reception: Sunday, May21st, 12 PM - 2 PM | More Info

Through Monday, July24th

In Gallery 2, Suzanne Auer presents a series of paintings that highlights her love of color.

Her paintings evoke a sense of nostalgia and a feeling of revisiting favorite places and things. In this exhibition, the artist showcases her process of planning a painting around a specific color and creating a visual path through it. From vibrant hues to subtle shades, the exhibition explores the role of color in evoking emotions and setting the tone for a piece of art.

Auer received her BFA in Jewelry and Silversmithing from SUNY New Paltz. After a few years in the jewelry business, she started her own business painting children’s clothes and murals. This led to creating The Art Studio, a 20 plus year business teaching children and adults drawing and painting in a relaxed atmosphere in Highland Mills, NY.  She is now retired and painting every free moment she gets.
